Scouting for Food - Saturday, July 31st!
We have door hangers for you to pass out to neighborhoods (generally near your meeting location) that will encourage people to put out food that you will pick up on the 31st. You can complete the process any time, but we are running out of time to meet our July 31 completion date. Our "primary" location for taking the food is the Caring Place in Georgetown because they provide to the largest coverage area of needy families. If your church has it's own food pantry and you would live to take your food there then that is a great thing as well. All we ask is that you report an approximate number of the items you collected and where you took them. This is definitely an activity that we'd like to see the boys in uniform, so that the community can see "Scouts at work".
Questions? Need door hangers? Want to report food collected?
